Learn more about me
Tell us a bit about yourself? I’m a Polish girl raised in Yorkshire, currently studying in Manchester. I’m massively influenced by both, Polish and English cultures, what makes me a “Polcunian”, as I have been recently told anyway. I grew up around Polish folk music. My family took me to MANY local festivals where I learned a lot about the Slavic music culture.
There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest? I'm a proud Polish girl and I believe growing up in England has taught me integrity. I guess my aim is not only to represent the Polish Community musically, but also to be a voice for the younger females, someone they can look up to. I want to encourage self discovery in all my listeners.
What’s your back-story? All my songs are written based on my own experience and most of them have an underlying story. I initially started to write as part of expression, as I struggled to communicate my feelings and emotions at the time. I guess my songs are my journey and they're all written in a reflective way. I can now safely say that I not only write for me but also for those who find comfort in my music, those who can relate to my stories.
What are you working on at the moment? I have recently released a single called 'Clouds' which speaks about the complexity of my character, the relationship that I have with my self and how that has developed over the years. The most important thing to me is my spirituality and creative development and I believe Clouds does capture that. I will be releasing a visual for the single shortly and I'm very excited, but apart from that; I also have a few other upcoming projects!
