For the last year and a half Bogan Via have been crafting their latest release, Tough to Kill. The album was inspired by the grit, chaos, and brief moments of beauty in the alcohol soaked alley ways of Los Angeles. The two recorded everything in their home studio in Hollywood and mixed with long time friend/ producer Le Tronz back in Phoenix. The tracks weave in and out of genres with a heavy hand of hip hop and electronic gluing it all together. Themes of heartbreak, mental health, and morality infuse the LP with true splendor and deep pain. Catch the band on on the road this Winter. Tough to Kill is out this
For now, Bogan Via’s graceful and danceable indie rock is still under the radar, but they are quickly rising to the surface, bringing their melodies and pulsating beats with them. Over the past few years, Bogan Via’s music has been featured on every blog from EDM to Consequence of Sound. With overwhelming responses to first listens of the record, this is the year that Bogan Via will start to make a splash.
“…The pulsating and ominous electronics paired with Miller’s ghostlike soprano give an almost otherworldly feel. When Bender takes over vocal duties just before the two-minute mark, the track enters full on Gary Numan-style hypnotic pop territory. Thankfully, this is one that you probably won’t mind being mesmerized by for extended periods of time.” – Consequence of Sound
“It’s undeniably catchy and has a fun feel to it…Sweet. Very Sweet.” – Absolute Punk
