Tell us a bit about yourself? When I first caught this music bug that later became my all-encompassing drive, the artists I would listen to the most were Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, sam cook, George Michael, Prince and Madonna. This was a very early stage, mainly shaped by the choices of my parents and older sister. These artists never left my conscience just simply stepped back as I developed into a young adolescent and discovered artists such as 2pac, Nas, Lauren Hill, Eminem, Oasis, R-kelly, Whitney Houston, Biggie Smalls and Jay-Z. There are so many more but that was the core group. looking back now my expectations of myself as an artist were always going to be tremendous however the one trait I have taken from all of them is good songwriting. which to me means songs that emotionally connect people in one way or another.
There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest? I truly feel what sets me apart is the variety of life i have seen.which translates into different opinions, concepts and subject matter for my music. to have lived in over 30 different countries by the age of 11 from America to Africa opened my eyes to a wider spectrum of human experience, cultures and diversity than most kids have the gift of experiencing. It has taught me how to be comfortable in any given enviroment and how to adapt to any given situation at the drop of a hat.
What’s your back-story? A while back I was laying in quite a big pool of my own blood because of an m.c battle and the guys who had done it shouted you better quit. I realised then and there that I would never quit...NO MATTER WHAT! My song 'Napalm Freestyle' deals with that experience and means alot to me.
