Tell us a bit about yourself? We are Demeanour, a new unsigned dance pop duo from South Wales, consisting of singer-songwriter and producer Amelia Martin and producer, DJ and song-writer Jack Davies. The dance scene has been so inspiring to us as Artists, seeing how the music industry is evolving is so exciting, and we feel so blessed to be in and amongst such a wide variety of break through music. Taking a look at the Disciples with their fresh deep house sounds, and mixing it along with some neo soul and pop inspired tracks from the likes of Jorja Smith. This is where Demeanour comes into play, combining dance with some soulful pop vocals.

There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest? As Demeanour, we are both born and bread Welsh Artists, so we really want to make a clear stamp on the music industry coming from Wales. Sometimes things come together unexpectedly, and Demeanour was one of them, and now we just can't stop making music!

What’s your back-story? Being part of a duo, our music kind of has two minds, and think that shows in the current music we are writing. We are definitely both so open about using music to speak about the times in our lives that we may have struggled, and use that to motivate our minds into creating thoughtful music. We are both very positive people, and want that feeling to be passed onto our listeners, however, there'll definitely be some emotional tracks we're sure.

What are you working on at the moment? We have recently released our debut single Build You Up, which has had so much support so far from the likes of BBC Introducing, and uk radio stations. Our plans over the next 3-6 months are to get releasing and creating as much music as possible, along with an E.P, Festival gigs and more.

What's the first song you remember hearing? Jack - Simply Red, Stars! Amelia - The first song I fully remember hearing was Meatloafs, I'd Do Anything For Love on my parents Hi-fi, and would slow walk from behind the organza curtains, there's a music video right there haha!

You're in a Karaoke Bar - What's your go to song? Amelia - Ooo I think I'd have to say Halo - Beyonce, also I do like to belt a bit of Adele aswell!
