H U M A N X are North East based duo, writer/producer/guitarist Paul G Clark and singer/songwriter/piano virtuoso Lindsey Brooks.
Since teaming up in July 2017 they've worked tirelessly within the independent local music scene showcasing their brand of Emotive Rock-Pop Electronica & Dark Romance.
A retro sounding yet modern production of Fleetwood Mac, Blondie and New Wave. Unashamedly Pop, with a dark punkadelic twist. Presented live with sequential drum and synth computers, infused with spacious, bluesy valve charged guitar, effects and ethereal piano.
Wowing audiences and headlining sell out shows at Cluny, O2 academy, Cluny 2, Little Buildings, Jumpin' Jacks, NE6 Suite, Mining Institute, Think Tank? The Tavern and Oxjam Festivals.
Supporting touring acts Avec Sans, Ambiere , Opera Comic and Twist Helix. It's definitely a formula that has paid dividends.
Seamlessly moving between energetic rocktronica to emotional ballads, they draw their influences from Blondie, Panic at the Disco, The Cure, Paramore, XTC , MGMT, Ladyhawke, T-Rex, Grimes, New Wave, Eurythmics, Roxy Music, Tears for Fears, Talk Talk, E.L.O, Icehouse, INXS, Beatles, 80s alternative & Indie Pop.
Also Selected by the Oxjam Music Festival team to take part in the release of a live album.

"This month welcomes the release of the very first Oxjam live album. Blast Recording Studios have donated free recording time to Oxjam, with 12 local artists coming in to record a track each to spotlight our rich local music scene and raise money for Oxfam.
Twelve local bands and performers were selected and are supporting this great cause. Echolines, Elephant Memoirs, DR Lush, Scalesia, The Pastures, Human X, A New Nowhere, You Are The Dead, Key Lime, The Gentleman Busker,
Palm Beach and Slurs all came into the studio to record an original track giving a high quality and very diverse album, which reflects the festival very well.
The album will be released this October to raise money for Oxfam UK, and help support the work they
do, it’s another highlight of what has already been a very successful year for Oxjam Newcastle as we
head into the festival in October.
The Oxjam festival itself will take place between Friday 20th and Sunday 22nd of October with 15 venues and over 90 bands and solo performers involved across Gateshead, Ouseburn and Wallsend".
Going into 2018 Human X look set to go from strength to strength, having already secured a headline slot at the Canny Fringe Festival, more Oxjam dates, interest from BBC Introducing, local and national radio airplay, and an invitation to play this years Bearded Theory Festival alongside well known international acts such as Robert Plant, Jake Bugg, Therapy? Jesus & Mary Chain & Reverend and the Makers.
