Insomnichord are a five piece progressive rock band from Bristol. They formed in 2015, initially as a psychedelic rock band, but over the last year have developed their sound into a more progressive style. Their songs are ambitious featuring mind warping soundscapes and eclectic song structures. Expect explosions of synths, guitar and drums in between catchy grooves and tight bass hooks. They wear their influences on their sleeves taking elements from the likes of Todd Rundgren, Hawkwind and more recently Tame Impala but manage to create something fresh and worth talking about.

Oh Henry! Oh Man!, Insomnichord's debut single, was self recorded and released alongside a homemade video. This single helped to draw attention to the band allowing them to begin the recording of their debut album at Rockfield Studios. The album is planned to be finished and released in early 2018, preceded by series of singles and an EP towards the end of 2017.

Insomnichord have recently supported the likes of Nicholas Allbrook, Acid Mothers Temple, The Shimmer Band, Fufanu and She Drew the Gun. As well as these support slots, Insomnichord have played their own headline shows in Bristol, Birmingham and London, which have been well received and showcased tracks from their upcoming releases.

"These guys are the perfect amalgamation of King Crimson, Camel, and The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, displaying the best parts of each and a flavour that is all their own" The Flux Presents

'"Looking and dressed like a secondary school-trip from the 60’s that had fallen into a worm-hole, Insomnichord are a Bristol prog - rock band with a touch of the psychedelic" Bristol Live Magazine

"Six-piece psychedelic rock band, Insomnichord transport us back in time with both their melodies and their avant-garde garments, leaving us in a state of nostalgia, remembering wondrous 1960s threads" Intermission

Oh Henry! Oh Man! is available now on all major streaming platforms, the video is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oofKpddHzU8. They also recorded an acoustic session for Routenote TV earlier in the year offering a stripped back preview of some of their new material which is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oofKpddHzU8.
