Learn more about me
We are a 4-piece alternative indie rock band based in Norwich. We try to play mainly originals but sometimes throw in a cheeky cover for fun. We all have slightly different musical backgrounds (one of them being thrash metal) and when we combine it turns into a delicious cocktail of audio-goodness. Our collective dream is to get famous without any lawsuits involving artists with the same name or possibly sofa companies.
"LAZYBOY, who's origins lie in thrash-metal, consists of members Olly O'Neil, Laurence Withero, Robbie Tribe and Tom Harper, who met whilst studying at City College, Norwich. The band have been recording and preparing for the release of their new EP, 'Made Up Of Facts' for around two months, which is set to
be released on the 17th April.
As of today, the single 'Dead Close' is available on all major streaming platforms, and channels the familiar beachy, bedroom-pop vibe of their previously released single 'Semi/Pro.' The track is driven by gritty, alt-pop guitar riffs and richly textured vocal layers, and is superbly energetic and summery. Alongside new releases, LAZYBOY are also currently preparing to compete in the semi-final of 'Rocket From The East' music competition, which will take place at Epic Studios in Norwich on Wednesday 27th March, where the band will be performing 'Semi/Pro' as well as other new material. LAZYBOY have been influenced by the likes of Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys, and The Beatles in the writing process for their 'instrument orientated' EP, which they have described as a very 'collaborative' effort; and they have successfully captured underlying hints of their thrash-metal roots, which they mention are particularly prevalent in the drum lines. 'Dead Close,' alongside the upcoming EP 'Made Up Of Facts,' can be found on all major streaming platforms. To keep up with LAZYBOY's releases and events, find them on

Some of our main influences include artists such as: Wallows, Everything Everything, Hippo Campus, Bloc Party, The Strokes, The Voidz, Super Furniture, Dream Theatre, Easy Life. Although, we believe that each of our songs share a different sound so it is hard to pin point exactly what artist we may sound like.
