Music is my passion. I write, sing, play guitar, produce. I perform Electronic and Acoustic music.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
I have been a Londoner now for seven years, but I started my life in Germany, lived in Australia, Hong Kong and a small town in Essex in my early years. Given that my parents are from Finland and the UK, when I first moved over to the UK I found it hard to answer the question 'where you are from'. I would identify with strong female singers such as Stevie Nicks, Kate Bush and later with Amy Winehouse and London Grammar. It was the raw emotion in their voices and the stage presence that inspired me to do what I do today.
There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest?
I have never been all that good at selling myself, but I do hope it is my music that will set me apart and that others can relate to what I write, produce and perform. The music you hear from me is written by me, the production ideas come from me and the final sound is what I have to offer.
What’s your back-story?
I released my first EP two years ago. That was my first electronic sound after acoustic guitar music and gigs a plenty. The first EP included my tracks 'Why', 'No Escape' and 'Your Tears' along with the remix of 'Why' by D/R/U/G/S. All these tracks are deeply emotional and reflect the space where I was at the time of writing them. All my tracks feature a contradicting set of emotions, just the way I find life in general and every day as well to be more specific. I like to keep my lyrics abstract enough for different people to relate to my music in different ways.
What are you working on at the moment?
My new EP is coming out this November (2017). It has four tracks, all written and co-produced by me. I will have a launch party on 24th November to come out with a bang! This EP is a little less melancholic than my earlier productions, a little bit more upbeat and probably more contemporary. It is my music transitioning into a new style. The EP is called 'My World'. I am writing more music right now and looking for opportunities to co-write in the new year!
