Light Skies Darken are East Anglia's explosive up and coming, female fronted, classic/ prog rock trio.

Fusing the flavours and technicality of 'prog' with the sound and attitude of classic rock, Lizzy and Reubes Cocksedge formed the band with YouTube Sensation, Daniel Jones, with an aim to re-introduce these awesome musical styles to a younger audience.

Despite their younger age, Reubes, Lizzy and Dan have already had many years experience playing in a number bands and as session musicians but decided in 2018 to put Light Skies Darken together as a result of a shared ambition to form an original band that would have that 'something special'. The Light Skies Darken sound is extremely unique as it combines the technical musicianship of bands like Dream Theater, Rush and King Crimson with the hard rock sound of Deep Purple and a fine finish of Toto style, pop prog.

In addition to their ever growing catalogue of original songs, Light Skies Darken also have an expanding repertoire of interesting covers from a range of artists including The Neal Morse Band, Yes, Heart, Jimi Hendrix and It Bites. In-between their busy writing/ recording/ gigging schedule, the trio also record some of their latest and most special cover's for their YouTube channel to keep fans up to date with their latest set's and so they know what to expect at upcoming shows.

In mid 2018, Light Skies Darken wrote and recorded their debut EP 'Stare into the Sun' at their home studio which they then released in October followed by a packed out launch show . Following heavy radio support of the EP from a range of stations and also the live reactions to the song's, Light Skies Darken brought out an accompanying music video for the EP title track on Christmas Eve. In December 2018, the trio were also featured as the front cover of the popular Grapevine Live magazine and announced they were going to be supporting Norwich based rock group Kaves, at Epic Studios in January 2019.

In 2019, Light Skies Darken are continuing to bring their refreshing brand of original rock to audiences across England and have a number of exciting live dates in store for their followers.
