South London alt-pop outfit Little Grim fuse penetrating lyricism and psychedelic riffs with infectious, floor-filling beats, bringing together a distinctive sound that tethers together the explosive excitement of a live band whilst balancing the delicacies of the sombre vocal melodies that sit on top. The band have been picking up momentum with notable radio play from BBC 6 Music, and have had featured as the ‘track of the day’ on BBC Introducing alongside a live session, and have been playing to packed out shows throughout London.
Marrying their chilling, cynical lyrics with soaring vocals and relentless processed beats, the result is an infectious, heartfelt experience — music you can dance and cry to, at the same time.

Little Grim came together after singer Joe Murphy and guitarist Jeremy Barclay met in a secondary school jazz band, discovering a shared love for making quirky, off-the-wall indie tunes. They’ve shared stages with the likes of Husky Loops and Rat Boy, and have started promoting their own live nights in South East London under the name 'Ripple Red presents...'
"When we moved to South East London, we were really inspired by the local music scene. Everything around here feels so vibrant, creative and community focussed... but we weren't part of it!
It was intimidating and difficult to involve ourselves initially as we hadn't played a live show in 6 months following a brief break we had due to some personal issues I was facing.
We decided that we would instead run the shows ourselves and use them as a platform to present the music on nights we're all proud to be part of, and share the stage with artists we love. We've been creating themes around each show which allows us to dress each venue up and incorporate an art installation.
Having collaborated in the studio with producer Brett Cox (Jack Garratt, Tusks, Vök), the band have pushed their production into a surprising new territory that takes the nostalgic vintage swagger of their earlier records and laces them with electronic beats and groove-laden bass-lines.
The band have just released their debut EP, and recently been announced to play at the Great Escape Festival
