There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest?

There's definitely a wave of female pop artists at the moment and especially the Scandi ones like Sigrid , Tove Styrke, ALMA etc. so it's hard to stand out. But I just write songs to tell a story and make the music I want to make and hopefully that's enough for people to listen to my music as well

What’s your back-story?

95% of my songs are about bad relationships and broken hearts. I just have a lot to say about those things so it comes very naturally. I tend to write from my own experiences but sometimes I put myself in someone else's shoes, a friend or I just make up a story and write about that. Writing songs for me is like writing a journal so I do it to get it out of my system but if other people can relate to a story then that's an amazing feeling.

What are you working on at the moment?

Right now I'm just writing and writing lots, both on my own and with others and then I'll see if it turns out to be an EP, an album or just singles. I want to gig more, I love playing live so hopefully there will be a few cool gigs lined up this spring as well.
