Tell us a bit about yourself? Well, my name is Loux pronounced "Lu" and I'm an artist from North London. I fell in love with music at around 14 and have been creating ever since. My biggest infuences are: Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Q-Tip, J. Cole, Kanye West, Stevie Wonder, Missy Elliot, Amy Winehouse, N.E.R.D, Michael Jackson - the list can go on...

There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest? I think the scene is thriving with a lot of great talent but what I feel I can bring is my story. We all go through situations that mold us into the people that we are, so more than anything I try to be relatable. I think a unique perspective is the difference between an artist and someone who makes music.

What's your back story? During my late teen years I had a bit of a identity crisis and wasn't sure on what I wanted to do in life. Many people I knew went to uni, moved abroad or settled and started a family. I was in limbo for quite some time. It took me a while to realise my purpose was to share this gift with world so I've just been working at being the best.

What are you working on at the moment? I've just finished recording my debut EP which will be out in the upcoming weeks. It's called 'Midnight Rotations' and has 4 tracks which will be accompanied with visuals to expand on the concepts of each song.

What's the first song you remember hearing? I think it might of been Daft Punk - Around The World. My mum was a super music lover and had so many hours of videos on VHS. I just remember seeing the monsters going round n round to this groovy ass beat.

You're in a Karaoke Bar - What's your go to song? Amy Winehouse - Valerie

What was the first gig you went to? My first official gig was in 2010. I travelled up to Bristol to see Tinie Tempah because a friend luckily had a spare ticket and it was a moment I'll never forget.

Which song do you wish you'd written? Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You

Which song changed your life? Michael Jackson - Earth Song. It made me question our existence and humanity as a whole. Very thought provoking stuff.

Which song would you like to be played at your funeral? Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry Be Happy

What song is stuck in your head right now? Labrinth, Sia & Diplo - Genius ;)

What was the first album you bought? N.E.R.D - In Search Of...

Which song made you want to play music? Again, N.E.R.D - Provider. Classic.
