Learn more about me
I am a Singer, Songwriter and Producer from West Yorkshire. In terms of influences I make catchy, etherial sounding indie pop, inspired by everything from 60s psychadelic music to 80s electro pop. I have been obsessed with pop music from a young age and used to love listening to tapes my parents owned I particularly remember enjoying albums by Bob Marley, Queen and Shakira. Pretty much anything I heard that had all the comfort familiarity and excitement of great pop music. I also have also enjoyed singing from a young age as well as learning instruments. I have always wanted to be a musician. I have hazy memories of seeing artists on top of the pops (Destiny's Child is always the one I can picture) and having the unquestioning knowledge that I was going to do that one day. I was always making up little songs when I was younger and when I started high school I started learning a few chords on piano and making trying to use them to write things. I started learning guitar around the age of 15 which is when I started writing properly. I remember spending hours in my room, writing several full songs a day. I was so full of ideas and creativity. Of course I would be too embarrassed to perform any of these songs today but after a lot of practice I finally was finally ready to start performing. When I was 16 I played my first couple of gigs a school concert and an open mic night at a local bar. When I was in sixth form college I started gigging more frequently around the local area and have gradually been building my following and finding my style ever since.
I am currently unsigned and working on an EP I will release myself later this year. I also gigs throughout the UK and I am currently booking new shows. I have received support from BBC introducing in West Yorkshire who said my song 'Sick Town' has 'the kind of rustic swagger that isn't often heard' while my song 'Feeling' has been described as ' a mix of Of Monsters and Men, Aurora and Borns'. I hope you will come and join me in the world I am creating.
