I'm a singer/songwriter from Hackney. I draw influence from artists such as Jorja Smith, Shakka, IAMDDB and H.E.R.
However I would say my biggest inspiration/influence in the music industry is my brother We.Are.Venxm, he is the person I work with the most, he is a producer/DJ aswell as being a singer/songwriter/rapper. He has introduced me to so many artists and styles of music, and I feel like this has helped mould me into the artist I am today.
Originally, when I was younger I would write more poems, but through working with my brother I feel I began to enjoy singing more and that's when I started writing my own songs, which I never really felt were good enough. I didn't perform any of my original songs until 2016 when I took part in an artist development programme at the Hackney Empire, this was when my mentality began to change and I realised I was good enough and my ideas should be heard. I then took part in a second music project with Levi's and Skepta. During this project I worked with people other than my brother and further developed my sound as well as my confidence. I wrote songs I was proud to perform and it was after this project that I finally made the decision to focus on pursuing music as a career. Since then I have released my debut single 'Woman' on all digital platforms and my next step is to release my EP which I am currently finishing. I want people to relate to the stories in my songs, and enjoy my melodies. I want people to feel the way I feel watching my favourite artists in concert. I want to be able to interact with people who enjoy my music and work with different artists to make songs I am proud of.
Although I am a UK singer I also enjoy artists from other parts of the world such as J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Stromae, Hiatus Kiayote, The Internet, Billie Eilish, SZA and Drake.
I enjoy genres such as Hip Hop, RnB, Grime, Rap, Alternative RnB and Jazz. I don't have a favourite style of music, I'm drawn to whatever I like the sound of.
