Based in Cardiff, South Wales, the band have roots all around the UK, from London to Carmarthenshire.
Coming from different musical backgrounds creates a fusion of genres in PEAKS own tracks. Predominantly post and melodic hardcore, the angsty female vocals give an edge to the group not often seen. PEAKS take influence from other acts not only on a musical and creative standpoint, but also a business one. Bands that influence PEAKS’ writing style range from the melancholy, such as Casey, Being As An Ocean and My Chemical Romance, to the aggressive, such as Beartooth, Underoath and Hundredth. These influence both the emotion and angst behind the music. PEAKS also take influence from alternative bands that have hit the mainstream, such as Bring Me The Horizon and Boston Manor, catering to fans in the local scenes. PEAKS are a band that want you to leave the real world when listening to their plethora of sound.
PEAKS have been running independently with the help of Unit 13, Woodcroft Audio and numerous South Wales promoters.
Having played Clwb Ifor Bach as main support for touring band Soeur, PEAKS are looking to expand their reach and are ready to come to your nearest alternative venue.
Next to be released is a three-part single called ‘Avantamore’. These songs focus on the hardships of not fulfilling societal and personal goals. The lyrical content addresses the emotional aspects of mental health, while driving rhythms simulate the raw feelings of love, sadness and hatred. The songs are a passionate and an emotional rollercoaster.
PEAKS plan to release the first of the three singles on the 27th of December. It will be available on all major streaming platforms.
