The 3 piece from Falkirk in Central Scotland are referred to have taken influential sounds from bands like Kings Of Leon, Feeder, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro and Malory Knox. PRIMES have a blend of unforgettable melodies, punchy chorus drops and the unique combination of three-way harmonies.
Debuting live in March 2018 in Scotland’s biggest unsigned venue King Tuts, PRIMES have continued to gig across Scotland’s music scene developing a notoriously loyal fan-base. Supporting Scottish Cult Hero’s BMX Bandits to playing at Rewind Festival in Perth.
Branching out from their local scene, the 3 piece will be playing further a field in shows across Scotland and England in 2019.
PRIMES have managed to secure their slot at massive festivals such as Vibration Festival, ButeFest, Gig In The Goil and Party At the Palace this year, this gives PRIMES the opportunity to share a stage with inspiring musicians like FEEDER, The Coral, The Alabama 3, Deacon Blue, Wet Wet Wet, KT Tunstall, The Hoosiers and The Charlatans.
PRIMES are releasing new music regularly with five consecutive Single releases available now on all streaming and download platforms. A further 4 Singles will be released throughout 2019.
PRIMES have been featured on BBC Introducing, Jim Gellatlys and Charlie Armstrongs Amazing Radio Show (Scotland and England) and have been Jim’s track of the day numerous times. PRIMES are also regularly played on a number of online radio stations and being well received by their listeners. PRIMES were nominated for band of the year in 2018 from online radio “Wigwam”.
Ollie Kitchen (Vocal & Bass), Sarah Monteith-Skelton (Guitar) and Reece Ryan (Drums) have all grown up surrounded by music and combining these experiences to create their unique and memorable sound. The band met in late 2017 whilst out with friends. Ollie and Sarah had both been involved in the local music scene and were keen to get together, write and see what they could do. A few months later the band was formed with Reece joining as well.
