Hailing from the home of metal Birmingham UK. Pryti released her first EP ‘Welcome To Pariahville’ which earned a great review from Sam Carter (Architects) in Kerrang. She fully embraced the DIY ethos by starting her own record label ‘Welcome To Pariahville’ and released her debut album ‘Tales of a Melancholic’. The album gained a lot of critical acclaim from the UK and USA press with rave reviews from Rocksound, Big Cheese magazine, Hit the Floor, New Noise magazine, Cryptic Rock and many more. Pryti writes all of her songs and plays the guitars and bass and all her songs have been produced by Justin Hill (Sikth, Young Guns, Heart of a Coward). Her melancholic, atmospheric, soulful songs and emotional vocals have drawn comparisons to Deftones, Sarah McLachlan and Lita Ford. Pryti has been played on Kerrang Radio, BBC Introducing West Midlands, Amazing Radio, Scuzz TV and Total Rock Radio. Her Youtube channel has had over 1 million views. Pryti has also earned rave reviews for her live performances. Drop This said ‘There are certain voices you hear on CD and think, ‘there’s no way they sound like that live’. Pryti has one of those voices. But she does sound that good live’.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
I'm Pryti a hard rock singer songwriter from Birmingham UK. My big influences are Deftones, Linkin Park, Sarah Mclachlan and John Mayer.
There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest?
My music is very melancholic and I write them for anyone who feels alone. I write all my songs myself and release them on my own record label Welcome To Pariahville.
What’s your back-story?
I love to write songs that are emotional, melancholic and people can get lost in. A lot of my songs are influenced by personal situations, tv shows and books.
What are you working on at the moment?
I'm currently writing my second album and planning gigs.
