Re Teu started his music adventure in the year 2017, however he has always been a drummer at heart which is often seen and driven in his music.
Whilst this young musician has not been around for a long time, his music sounds like he has a grip on the scene and heartstrings.
Formally known as SAWYER, a constant description of "unknown genre", Re Teu's songs and visuals aim to hit both captivating and deep emotions.
Have a listen, you will not be saddened.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
Mhmm, In short you could say a guy who likes extreme sports and then doing a complete 180 and chilling out. For me it's all about relaxing and having a good time without any stress. Skating, surfing chilling and a good campfire.
There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest?
Honestly, everyone is great. I think what sets me apart is that I don't really have a genre? Sounds mad, but everyone I've asked or any radio that has played me from BBC to podcasts can't place a finger on it. I guess the common theme is that it sounds cold? Mountain-like? That and I play all the instruments by myself.
What’s your back-story?
Some tracks have been made in the cliche relationship situation. Some and defo the more recent have been made with playing live in mind. It's all about creating a hair raising experience for me now. Getting into music I was that little boy with the HUGE bag running to lunch and seeing a drum kit, from there it's history. I know we all rocked that huge bag, don't lie.
What are you working on at the moment?
Currently, I'm just sorting out the live set. To make it the best show's I've ever preformed and it will only be Up from there. The début EP will land in time.
