Born and raised in the Industrial Midland City of Wolverhampton, Christian Nembhard aka Reload is a highly creative musician with a unique sense of lyricism, story telling and Urban Poetry that is illustrated over a wide variety of tempos.
In 2012 Reload was drafted into West Midlands Super-Collective OneAway and rapidly grew as one of the leading lyricists in the midlands music scene. As one of the main features on OneAway’s debut EP “ItsTheOneAway Volume 1”, Anticipation grew for a Solo project to be released from Reload.
After releasing notable freestyle videos on some of the biggest media channels in the midlands (P110, GrimeBlog, JDZ Media), 2013 set the scene for Reload to gain his biggest break yet. In the summer of 2013, Reload entered an international competition via SBTV to perform on the main stage and Boat Party at Outlook festival. After 100’s of entries Reload was whittled down to the last 5 and eventually named the winner Of the SBTV Outlook Festival competition.
In Croatia, Reload performed alongside Big Narstie, Chronik and Merky Ace on the boat party and went on to perform alongside Jay Electronica as well as countless other entertainers and performers.
Reloads debut project entitled “Creative Non-Fiction: Chapter 1” was released in 2015 via record label Riot Music. Featuring exclusive production from the likes of S-X (Tinie Tempah, Meek Mill, T.I, Lil Wayne), Thomas Mellor (Wiley, Skepta, Krept & Konan), TRC (Giggs, Tinchy Stryder) and Knox Brown (Wretch 32, Jacob Banks) Creative Non Fiction was well received and gained critical acclaim from a host of tastemakers.
After spending 2015 promoting Creative Non Fiction and performing on platforms such as IluvLive, Reload was selected as one of the stand out performer by Music Potential and spent the best part of the year creating new music and performing at huge events such as British Barclays Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park and The Roundhouse.
2015 was Reload's biggest year to date in terms of progression within the music industry. Having gained sponsorship from the likes of KA Drinks, Reload was nominated for a Rated Award, Gained a cosign and major support from the likes of DJ Semtex and gained his first sync deal with Sky1 for his stand out "Transfer Window" single which was released via SBTV.
If 2015 was the foundation, then 2016 / 2017 is proving to be the infrastructure. Having already gained additional key support from the likes of Charlie Sloth and Tim Westwood, Reload was also the headline support act for Raekwon's UK tour and was selected by renown Jazz organization Serious as one of the five most promising urban acts in the country and was enlisted on a special artist development course.
