Silent Party are a new band from South London who have recently received their first national airplay on BBC INTRODUCING where Abbie McCarthy described their single as “ The most addictive indie tune you’ll hear for a while”

On Amazing Radio they won the audition poll voted for by listeners. They have also featured twice on BBC 6 Music DJ Tom Robinson’s Fresh Fave’s website as a song of the week and were a Spotlight Track for The Unsigned Guide.

The band are set to release their sophomore E.P ‘Auto Erotica’ this Autumn. Written and self produced by the band in South London, the E.P was made with a backdrop of global and local, political and social upheaval. Songs on the E.P such as ‘Price Of Gold’ and ‘Offline’ are a call to arms to an inward looking generation to take notice of what was unfolding around them. Tracks such as ‘Playing Small’ are more self-critical - looking at the urge to betray your beliefs and convictions as you get older. ‘Not Long A Prince’ explores the event of surpassing the lifespan of a father who died very young and the resulting self-audit.

Silent Party formed in 2015 by Chris Douch and Mike Goward out of group of artists, movie makers and drama students dotted around South London. With a range of eclectic tastes in the band ranging from the usual indie sounds, eighties hair metal and country - however it was the rides to rehearsal sessions and the Girls Aloud, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift on the car stereo that informed the sound on their new E.P. The bands love of melody, synths and hooks seemed a perfect counterpoint to the dark lyrical themes.

The band have been touring for the last 18 months and have played sold out shows at The London Barfly and The 100 Club.
