Tell us a bit about yourself? We're a high-energy, rock n roots, three-piece with so many influences it's hard to know where to start. We like the term 'real music' all the same and listen to anything and everything that includes guitars, drums, bass guitars and vocals. There's elements of rock, post-punk, blues, folk, soul and even some country vibes in there. As experienced players we've done our time in covers bands and less focused originals outfits, we've written for the audience and made all the classic mistakes. The Gus Glynn Band is primarily a project for our own enjoyment. The songs are coming thick and fast, the genres more and more diverse but with a more clearly defined identity with everything we add to the sets. We formed in Cheshire in late 2016 and we're really honing our sound now and feeling confident we can bring every audience treats they were not expecting through following what we naturally, intuitively want do musically. This multi-genre originals band thing is just so much fun for everyone, far better than we expected and it just keeps getting better every time we play, write and record.

There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest? We're older, wiser and better!

What’s your back-story? We don't really go in for back story or explaining songs. I mean, that's why we write them, cos that's how we communicate.

What are you working on at the moment? We're gigging and recording constantly. We like to keep a steady flow of studio output that we can test live and vice versa. We'll pick our strongest set set of songs for an album to float out in the next few months.
