Tell us a bit about yourself? We are the Paperwaits, we are a 4 piece band fronted by Tom and Scott Burchell From Guildford. We enjoy producing our own music in a vintage style using analogue gear. Our music pulls a lot of influence from music of the 1960s and 70s
There are a lot of emerging artists in the UK right now. What sets you apart from the rest? Most modern bands will gig loads and then go to a studio to record their music, even if they are going for a vintage sound this often leads track to follow the same production 'rules'. By doing everything DIY we constantly learn and adapt, as we get better the listener can grow with us.
What’s your back-story? From a young age, brothers Tom and Scott Burchell have been writing songs inspired by 60s and 70s music they listened to from a young age.
What are you working on at the moment? We are currently in the last stages of production for our second album. It's inspired by garage psychedelic music of the 60s and should be released over the coming months.
