The Rezner are an alternative/indie-rock 4 piece from the sunny southwest.
The Rezner are Cornwall’s indie/alternative-rock 4-piece from Truro. Since forming in 2016, The Rezner have already been picked up by the public for their unique live performances full of 'live on-stage energy' that captivates the audience from the moment the music starts.
As well as this, the band have recently just released there latest single 'Cruel & Kind' along with B-Side track 'Unknown (If You Want Too)'. Both tracks have received an overwhelming response from the public and have appeared on radio stations such as 'BBC introducing with David White'.
Within there 6 months of non-stop gigging, The Rezner have seen to festivals such as Leopallooza, Rock Oyster Festival, Looe Music festival, The Great Estate, Boardmasters (as they headline 2017's BBC introducing stage).
'The Rezner are so precociously talented they’re already talking about playing Wembley Arena and having the sort of career enjoyed by such world-beaters as the Foo Fighters and Radiohead. One gets the feeling their collective tongues are only semi-inserted into their cheeks.
Sam, in particular, is so cocksure and charismatic, it’s hard to believe he’s only 18. Think the bordering-on-camp performance power of Tim Burgess and Brett Anderson with the in-your-face swagger of Ian Brown and even Liam Gallagher. Yep, he’s got something.
The band’s sound is a mix of the ramshackle garage rock of The Libertines, the anthemic everyman choruses of the Britpop years with a bit of grunge firepower, though basically they already sound like The Rezner.
The band are singer, guitarist and born frontman Sam Stone, 18, guitarist, vocalist and pop star-named Redley Flowerdew, 18, bassist Liam Palmer, 19, and the old man of the ensemble, Portuguese drummer Jose Barradas, 20.' - Cornwall live
''Amid all the enormo acts, the best band I saw at @boardmasters yesterday were THE REZNER on @bbcintroducing stage. Headliners next year?'' - Mark Kermode
''In the "mumble, mumble" years I've been writing about music in Cornwall it's very rare that a new band can stop me in my tracks, already imagining them headlining festivals, within half a song. I've only truly felt it four or five times and The Rezner have that special indefinable "thing".'' (CornwallLive, Lee Trewhela)
