The Seamonsters are an indie glitter band from Sheffield driven by 80s inspired synths and angelic vocals. Influenced by Pulp, Altered Images and Orange Juice along with more recent indie artists like Black Honey and The Wombats, they create catchy songs for dreamy dance floors.

Their debut single 'Lost (and Found)' created a social media buzz around the band and created an interest in what was to come. Following this The Seamonsters sound was described by platforms such as the popular music blog Punktastic as “undeniably charming indie music” and by We The Germs blog as having “emotion packed fantastic guitar lines and an all-round summery feeling”.

The Seamonsters have recently played alongside VANT, Anteros, Kate Nash and Bill Ryder-Jones and hope to continue to spread glitter across the country. The band have named their genre of music as 'indie glitter' because of their love for all things shiny and the glittery keyboards that float across their songs.

The second single released by The Seamonsters entitled 'Wonderland' has reached the band out to an even bigger audience with an Alice in Wonderland inspired music video and bold artwork the band's creativity shines out through more than just their music. The Seamonsters run all their own social media and do nearly all their videos and photos themselves, they also say: "We love posting out asking if anyone wants to do a photoshoot with us or getting fans involved in our music videos and live performance where possible. A lot of our following is quite young and it's nice to be able to let a 16 year old who's never had the chance to do a photoshoot with a band before do it. We get some of our best photos this way and we help people trying to get experience in creative industries at the same time!"

Live performance is one of the most important parts of The Seamonsters and this hasn't gone unnoticed. “I knew that I was going to enjoy The Seamonsters, having enjoyed the few singles and demos they had previously released online, but I did not realise just how good they were going to be live.” Will you music?
