Toby Corton & His Band by Chance are a London based group who mix a vibrant blend of Soul, Jazz and R'n'B with distinctly British attitude.

Their music touches on a range of themes with candour, discussed from the viewpoint of Toby the frontman. His songs often take the form of reflections and his lyrics are honest when discussing his experiences and views as a young gay man, with clever turns of phrase that range from the whimsical to the more sharp and pointed.

The track 'Hazy Sunday' is reflection upon his time at University in Nottingham, where Toby was inspired to pick up his guitar again after a long hiatus. After graduating he continued writing and built up a catalogue of tracks, but feeling that his sound needed a live band he went about searching the internet for band members.

Having been working as a band for around a year, they are getting ready to release their Debut EP, 'Thicker Than Water'. In addition to this they'll be playing live shows throughout the summer, whilst focusing on a follow up EP.
