Vivacity a five piece indie rock band from Southend-on-Sea. Forming in 2016 and playing their first gig not long after forming it is clear that the young band are doing well for themselves.
Vivacity are Connor Winston (Vocals), Anna Campbell (Vocals and Guitar), Stan Lodge (Guitar), Joe Reeves (Bass), and Dan Payne (Drums). They take inspiration from Peace to Catfish and the Bottlemen. That kind of classic guitar music with a bit of a twist like Foals and Wolf Alice inspired them to start the band.
Vivacity released their first single 'Wild Beasts' on the 25th of August 2017. The single was recorded in a bedroom and was mastered by a friend of theirs. The single has received attention from many fans and has currently got over 2,000 streams. Their second single 'Blind' is out on the 20th of October and they hope that this single will attract more attention from more people as they are really proud of it and want their fans to enjoy it.
The band have played multiple gigs in their hometown of Southend-on-Sea at a venue called Chinnery's which has hosted many famous bands such as Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, Jamie T and Nothing But Thieves. The venue have invited them to play multiple times and each time has been a sell out show with fans of the band coming down to support them. Their gigs have been described as a 'youth revolution'.
They are a 'great band with passion, excellent vocals, must only be 17/18 and superb players & song writers'
Vivacity have 'put my faith back in rock n roll & great local bands'. They have a great fan base too. The fans 'have so much passion for them it's endearing and will make you smile and forget your troubles for a while.'
The band are currently planning the release of their next singles. As well as singles they are looking to record and release an EP in the near future. The band are also looking to book more gigs with promoter's up and down the U.K. as they want to break out of Southend-on-Sea.
