We Signal Fire are an Alt Rock four piece born out of a creative lifeline and natural chemistry between Pete Clough (vocal/guitar), Chloe Houston (vocal), Jonathan Baines (bass) and Martin Downton (drums/ backing vocal). They combine sublime vocals and hard hitting riffs to showcase heartfelt and intelligent songwriting inspired by Pete's experiences growing up, and the band's views on today's society and political climate.
Pete and Martin previously played together while growing up in Worcester. The band started when both reunited in Manchester, originally starting as a three piece band. While recording their first EP 'Young Blood', Chloe Houston joined as an additional vocalist. Current bassist Jonathan joined a year later to complete the line up, having played music with Martin previously.
In 2016, We Signal Fire released their four track EP "When The World Starts To Break", featuring "We Can Be The Change" and "Just When Life Breaks Us", as well as popular live favourites "We Are" and the title track "When The World Starts To Break"
They recently released their latest EP, "Still Sick // Still Human", at an amazing headline show at The Deaf Institute, Manchester in October 2017. Recorded by Romesh Dodangoda at Long Wave Studios, the EP features the tracks "Darling I Swear", "Let Your Guard Down", and "Darling I Swear".
The band have a number of shows coming up in November 2017 to support the latest EP. They will be bringing their style of energetic rock to Manchester, Bolton, London, Doncaster, and Huddersfield, with more dates to come soon. Gig news can be found via our facebook page.
The band has already featured at gigs up and down the country, from playing small clubs in Worcester and Huddersfield, to playing huge hometown shows at Manchester's Academy 3 and The Deaf Institute. Gig news is available via our Facebook page.
