Zurich are a 3-piece Alternative Rock Band from Oxford, UK. They play widescreen post-punk with a nod to the darker side of 80's electronic pop.
Having earned an impressive live reputation through national tours, festival slots and support slots around the UK, the band comprise of Adrian Banks (Bass & Vocals), Chris Gillett (Guitar & Vocals) and Leigh Taylor (Drums & Samples). The indie rockers have shared stages with acts such as Two Door Cinema Club, The Boxer Rebellion, Augustines and The Big Pink.
The band, who have been compared to acts like Interpol, The National, New Order and The Killers, released their debut single 'Alone' in 2015 as a free download to anyone who signed up to the band's mailing list on their website. The single now boasts over 30,000 streams.
Zurich followed this up with the release of their critically acclaimed debut EP 'Small Wars' in late 2015. The record receiving extensive support from BBC6 and Amazing Radio, as well as from radio stations all over the world including the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, featuring on many blogs and music sites in similar regions. The EP was recorded and co-produced by Zurich and Gary Stevenson (producer for ABC, Go West and Tony Hadley) in Gary Stevenson's Oxfordshire Stevensonics studio. The 5-track record was mastered by Tim Turan at Turan Audio, Oxford.
The trio also released their self-produced Christmas single "You're On My List" in December 2016.
Their next scheduled UK performance is a Free Entry gig at The Bedford Pub in Balham, London, where Zurich are set to perform some new material acoustically for the very first time.
The band are currently working on their highly anticipated follow-up EP due in early 2018, with lead single "Where You've Been" scheduled to precede the record in the New Year, along with more UK dates to be announced soon.
Zurich have toured the UK twice in support of their Small Wars release, and are set to go on their first international tour this November, playing a handful of dates across Hong Kong and China.
